Documentary from Omsk starts its Festival History
Alexey Tishchenko has returned from the International forum ’Russia — Country of Sports’ in Saransk. There he spoke at a round-table discussion on the issues of social adaptation of athletes. His ideas of second higher education free of charge, pension programs and legal support for high-achieving athletes were supported by many colleagues, including Russian Olympic Committee officials, Olympic champions, World and European champions. The round-table discussion was opened by a short version of the film ’Champion’s Anatomy’ directed by Vladimir Golovnyev, winner and awardee of numerous Russian and international documentary film festivals. Victor Tishchenko, Merited coach of Russia and father of the famous champion, served as the film’s producer. Oleg Shishov, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Omsk Oblast, provided considerable financial support for the project.
The full version of the film ’Champion’s Anatomy’ was shown in Saransk as part of the III International Sports Film Festival. The Festival program included 90 films from 25 countries. The film about Alexey Tishchenko ’Champion’s Anatomy’, telling the story of an ordinary Siberian boy who achieved great success in sport, took a second place, winning an award in the ’Sport and Personality’ nomination. One of the main awards of the international film festival found home in Omsk.
