All-Russia day of run - "Cross-country of the nations" took place In Omsk.

On September, 16th All-Russia day of run - « Cross-country of the nations » took place. The most scale track and field athletics action of Russia had captured uniform sports movement of 44 cities representing all of 7 federal districts of Russian Federation. About 450 thousand Russians in total came on start of " Cross-country of the nations ».

The quantity of participants of run in Omsk exceeded expected, and had made 25 thousand 267 person, that on five thousand more than last year's. Besides city dwellers of Omsk 2393 persons took part in « Cross-country of the nations » from 25 areas of Omsk area. The most numerous delegation in structure of 510 person arrived from Ljubinskogo area, a little less came from the Azov area (504).

107 persons participated in the VIP running. Among them: Minister on affairs of youth, physical training and sports of Omsk area Sergey Shelpakov, the first assistant to mayor of Omsk, director of department of the real estate of administration of city Jury Viktorovich Gamburg. Also in the VIP running of " Cross-country of the nations » well-known sportsmen have started: Olympic champion of 2004 in Athenes Alexey Tischenko, master of sports of the international class on navigation, numerous record-breaker and champion of Russia and championships of Europe Vasilisa Vladikina. VFSO "Dynamo" entered into a three of the best on mass character of collectives of participants of " Cross-country of the nations » there were 2843 persons, the Siberian state university of physical training and sports - 1050 person and regional SDUSHOR - 808 person. In comparison with the last year on one and a half thousand participants the representation of Omsk high schools increased and had made 3943 persons. Also the quantity of participants from sports schools - 4223 person, colleges - 3771 person, KTOS - 1536 person increased.

Fans of run, who occupied from first to tenth places on each distance in the category, were rewarded with diplomas, cups, medals and souvenirs. Winners recieved certificates on three thousand roubles and a DVD-player. Silver and bronze prize-winners managed certificates on 2000 and 1000 roubles.
