The meeting with Omsk veterans, organized under the initiative of the deputy of Legislative Omsk Assembly, Olympic champion Alexey Tishchenko, took place in the context of solemn opening international tournament of boxing in Omsk sports club «Viking». Our glorified boxer has decided to brisk up social work with citizens, who have certain merits in physical training and sports and who have not public assistance by virtue of the different reasons in the presents time.

The Fund of medical aid to sportsmen, veterans of sports, workers of art, created some years ago by known expert in the field of sports medicine Vladimir Grigorevich Garder, helps to Alexey. The Fund was activated by Alexey Tishchenko's financial assistance this year.

And so the next pleasant meeting with veterans, among which the deserved master of sports and the deserved trainer of the USSR Vladimir Mihajlovich Sokolov was presented, took place. He had been training bicycle racers of the national team during four years.There are four Olympic champions, five world champions, fifteen champions of the USSR, twenty international masters of sport among his pupils. The triple world champion Victor Bazhenov is among his pupils.
