Most likely, the sports journalist Alexander Blenky, who commented Olympic tournament of boxers, relying on opinion of the main trainer first, estimated Tishenko’s chances to win a champion title not high enough.

Alexey’s father, Victor Gennadevich Tischenko, in the past the sportsman too, master of sports on boxing, tells:

- They were only babies, and I already accustomed them to float. We are a sports family. When son went to a kindergarten, we participated in competitions " Mum, the daddy and Me is sports family " and always were the first. Daughter Elena, the master of sports on sports gymnastics, studies now in BGPU. I have attached Alexey to boxing from eight years. And now I am a businessman, and in 90's I was the trainer. Boxing is a rigid kind of sports. Certainly, I take care of son. I learned to get impacts as small as possible. When Lesha began to be engaged with other trainer - Vladimir Ivasenko - I came on their trainings and prompted something to son at home. I can tell, that now Alexey is the versatile boxer. And he is also very purposeful and characteristic. The more strongly the contender, the more strongly he fight.

Both Alexey Tischenko's parents have a higher education. Marina Aleksandrovna ended Novosibirsk institute of engineers of a railway transportation, Victor Gennadevich anded Omsk institute of physical culture. When Alexey was 16 years old , father advised son to continue his education in Omsk. By the way, Barnaul was considered by the Tishenlo-senior too. But the head of regional federation of boxing reacted somehow languidly then to the request to promote with the device of son in the regional center. As a result Alexey, already the champion of Russia among young men during that time, went for limits of edge.

In a rank of the champion

We had seen Alexey Tischenko when he arrived to Barnaul on a meeting with the governor of edge Michael Evdokimov. There are so many meetings now, Olympic champion is in great demand. But the invitation to the governor flattered his vanity.

- Alexey and what had changed in your life besides necessity to communicate much publicly?

- Probably, that people in the street recognize me.

- Is it pleasant?

- Certainly.

-What result would arrange you on Olympiad, if you did not win the gold? Was there a task-minimum?

- The Task was one - the first place.

- Is it possible to speak about any special character of Rubcovsk, connected with specificity of city? Did You, have to fight in the childhood often?

- Speaking about me, I have recently found out, that there are nine zones in Rubtsovsk. IT was far away from me in the childhood. And I fighted in the street, but not frequent.

What can you call your strong qualities in boxing?

- Work of legs and serial combinations of impacts.

Is it possible to win a knockout in your small weight?

- I did not win a knockout, but it was necessary for win knockdown . Contenders rose, but refused to conduct fight further.

Is it difficult to keep the fighting weight?

- When I do not train, my usual weight at growth of 165-167 centimeters - 60 kgs. There is no any diets at present. Simply, when it is necessary, I eat in a dining room less, and pull on more things on training.

-To whom from domestic boxers would you like to resemble outside a ring?

- I am equaled on Oleg Saitova and Evgenie Makarenko, they are in the Russian team now, they are friendly people, it is interesting to communicate with them.

In general, what human qualities impose you, and, what do you not allow?

- Friendliness, modesty, sincerity are imposed. False, hypocritical people are irritated. some people spoke one thing up to Olympiad, and now it’s absolutely another.

-When the Russian hymn was executed in your honour, you sang. Did you learn words specially to Olympiad?

- Why? The Hymn had appeared, I learnt it.

-You are the Olympic champion. To what do you aspire in sports?

- World championship is soon. I did not win the world, Europe. It would be desirable to have the complete set. Well also it won’t be bad to take part on Olympiad in Pekin in four years.

-Don’t you go to professionals boxing?

- Not in present.

Did you have some interests outside the boxing?

- A computer and football. I look Football on the TV and I like to play football. When I was the boy, there was a box in a court yard, boys constantly drove a ball there.

Omsk or Altay?

Tishenko was represented as the Omsk boxer on Olympiad in Athenes. But there thought differently in Rubtsovsk, clearly. It is assured, that sitting at the TV, not only one fan beats itself in a breast and swore to relatives: " Me and his dad!.. Me and Leshka!.. Here the qualified trainers - Alexander Medvedev, Alexander Bubennov and first of all Leonid Kiselyov - developed Alexey Tischenko's talent. Would he grow to a rank of Olympic champion on boxing in Altai? I Doubt. Even because there are no trainers of such high qualification at that moment and if and is - they have no means for preparation of sportsmen of the international level.

It is not excluded, that Alexey will return to live to Altai. In family of the champion continue to consider the offer which arrived from governor Michael Evdokimov. However, sport committee of the adge have only suggested to write the application for transition in regional sport club, and there had already allocated a 3-roomed apartment in Omsk, in Chita, where recently took place a regional competitions, the federation of boxing of Siberia presented ' Volga ".
