CONQUEST OF EUROPE

Becoming the champion of the Old World, Alexey Tischenko had won the first title in new weight category for him (up to 60 kg). The world championship and Olympic Games are on turn.

It happens so often in boxing. You won all that was possible in one weight category, and then passed in another and it was necessary to start from the begining. The present championship of Europe on boxing which had come to the end on the last Sunday in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, became for our Olympic champion new starting point to conquest of the next boxing Olympus. There are few people who doubts now, that Tishenko will become the leader of world amateur boxing in new weight category to him (up to 60 kg).

- Alexey was very well adjusted on this championship, - one of instructors of the boxer, the president of city federation of boxing Alexander Bubennov comments, - and psychologically especialy. Let’s watch his quaterfinal duel with Bulgarian boxer Sametom Husejnov for axample. There was the occasion for some excitement, nevertheless. Husejnov is the local boxer all the same. And not only the overflown tribunes of a palace of sports were rooted for him. It was possible to expect loyalty of judges to him. Lesha, however, lead this fight simply excellent, he had not left any chances to Bulgarian, and he had to capitulate after the first round already. But all understood, that the main duels were still ahead for our boxer.

- It became disturbing, - Alexander Bubennov speaks, - when in the beginning of the second round Alexey recieved a section under the right eye. The judge had to to stop fight and to invite the doctor. It could be the end, experts know that the doctor’s decision is the main. But the doctor, having examined the damage, allowed to continue a duel, nevertheless. During the remained three roundes the judge stopped fight several times. But all was managed, thank God!!! Tishenko did not risk especially. Up to the middle of the third period there was an equal fight, and then Alexey has adapted to the contender and had seriously undertaken for rival. As a result a convincing victory over points - 42:26. Armenian boxer Hrachik Dzhavahjan waited for Alexey Tischenko in the final. The boxer is about the same plan, as well as Kljuchko, but the right-handed person. Chances of Alexey's victory over this duel were regarded by experts above, than at the contender. The only thing that confused so this ill-starred section. However, there was some time up to the final, our doctors had worked above Alexey and brought him in norm. Now all depend on the boxer.

Alexey Tischenko had shown all the better qualities and, tactical wisdom, first of all, in a final duel. He had precisely executed all the installations of the main trainer of a combined team of Alexander Lebzjaka and instructor Leonid Kiselyov and didin’t allowed Javahjan to force attack, having cooled him with exact impacts from both hands. Thus, the fight passed under dictation of the Olympic champion. Alexey had confidently finished it. The account 39:15, more than convincing for the final, it speaks for itself. And Alexey Tischenko became the champion of Europe for the first time in the boxing career, having brought the mite in the confident victory of all Russian team, which is count nine gold and two silver medals.

Alexey Tischenko and his instructor, deserved trainer of Russia Leonid Kiselyov would hardly forget, what forces it was necessary for the young Omsk boxer to break through on Olympic games-2004. The obvious superiority over direct competitor Raimkul Malahbekov, which he won on large international tournament in Nizhnevartovsk, and surpassed in a control duel on the basis of combined Russian team, was not enough. Trainers of a national team had sent the growing old veteran to win the Olympic license. Be he couldn’t reach the purpose. And only then Tishenko have be been decided to entrust the right to be overcome for the permit on Olympiad. As is known, Alexey not simply became participant of the Games, and won it excellent.

The main trainer of combined team of Russia on boxing was replaced, and Alexander Lebzjak, who come on this post firstly, concerned validly to Omsk boy, his merits and opportunities. However, as Leonid Kiselyov told, there were doubts before the championship of Europe in a team, it needed to decided whom to send on tournament – Ignatyev from Novosibirsk, who become the winner of the championship of Russia, or Tishenko , passed internal tournament because of a trauma?

- Alexey won selection fight against Ignatyev confidently, with a difference more, than 10 points. And would place all points above, - Leonid Nikolaevich speaks, - but trainers decided to weigh everything once again five days before departure to Bulgaria. It became unexpectedness for us, but Tishenko had adequately coped with re-testing. Only the first round passed on equal, and then Alexey's superiority did not cause questions. Fluctuations of a management of a combined team, have surprised us, certainly.

- Leonid Nikolaevich, had Alexey Tischenko already accustomed to new weight category, in your opinion,?

- He answered on this question better. He said that averything bacame the same way, only on gathering and during competitions it was possible to have breakfast, dinner and supper, at that moment. Actually, Lesha is only 22 years and though he has already noticeably grown up, it is still capable to add in weight. I’m glad, that I managed to persuade him to pass in new category. In fact, in the last world championship his cheeks became hollow, because of loosing weights.

- Above what is it still necessary to work for your pupil ?

- It is always necessary to work. Who does not satisfy with itself can reach the perfection. It is necessary to improve qualities which bring success. And Tishenko understands it perfectly. He does dream, he sees the advantages and feels lacks. And what about technics, tactics and character it is all right. Alexey is the universal boxer, and I am proud of training him. Having won a gold medal of the championship of Europe in a weight category up to 60 kg, he, as we hope, begun new greater successes. In fact, former merits and a victory over Olympiad, and a victory over the world championship had been achieved in a category up to 57 kg.

« LESHA, YOU ARE UNIQUE! »

It seems, we saw it already repeatedly. The airport. Alexey Tischenko leaves to meeting quiet, measured gait, welcomes relatives and friends with a smile, gets in their embraces and accepts congratulations. In fact, he won again. And nobody is surprised already, everybody got used to bright victories of the Omsk boxer.

This time the winner of the governor's sports premium "Valour" had pleasantly surprised, he appeared on public in a beautiful suit with the arms of Russia embroidered on a breast. « LESHA, you are unique! » - someone shouted, mean, however, absolutely another. Tishenko won the championship of Europe on boxing for the first time in a life. And simultaneously with it he became the owner of the complete set of gold medals of the most prestigious tournaments - Olympic Games, the world championship, the championship of Europe. Each sportsman dreams about it.

- It is interesting to know, that fights of gladiators took place during ancient times not only in Rome. In Bulgaria this show also collected thousand fans ».

The history was in a point. In fact, Alexey appeared, as the gladiator, who won the terrible contender, with an appreciable section under the right eye. « It is unusual to see you with a trauma on the face», - we noticed. « The boxing is such kind of sports where everything is possible, - answered Tishenko with a smile. - I should arrive home with grazes, one day, it is impossible to remain untouched all time ».

- With what feelings, Alexey, did you come back to Omsk?

- I wasn’t at home for about one month. And I have missed very much os course. I’m glad to see all my relatives and friends. And I’m glad, that the championship of Europe had developed successfully for me. In fact I debuted on such prestigious tournament in new weight category - up to 60 kgs, and, apparently, managed to show his good side.

- Both on Olympic Games, and in the world championship final duels were given rather easily for you. How was at this time?

- Perhaps, the most difficult for me was the semifinal against Kljuchko from Ukraine. Not so much because of force of the contender, but much because of the trauma, which was got during the fight. It was necessary for change tactics, to try to not miss impacts. Otherwise the section would continue to bleed, and the judge could take me simply off a duel.

- As known, you were the unique operating Olympic champion on this tournament. Whether played this circumstance any role for you?

- Basically, it did not influence neither character of preparation, nor a psychological condition at all. I prepared for fights as it was usual. It was necessary for adjust and box, as before, seriously, without any weakness. Well, rivals tried to compete in the same manner with me.

- Did you feel the support of fanst?

- Yes, and their presence at a plenty became pleasant unexpectedness. There were both experts on boxing, and usual tourists, among spectators and even from those Russian cities in which boxing practically does not develop as those. I wish to tell thanks and to thank Omsk people first of all. I was told, that evrebody root at screens of TVs for me, watch my results on releases of news. And I felt this support and, knowing, that people trust in me, tried to justify their hopes.

- What appears in your plans after the championship of Europe?

- Productive leisure, first of all. Soon, I hope... Well and the nearest purpose is the Moscow world championship of next year on which permits on Olympic games-2008 in Pekin will be played. To gain the nominal license it is necessary to get in the eight of the strongest. « Alexey is not only pride of Omsk, Alexey is pride of Russia! Ura! » - exclamation in the morning air was distributed. The champagne has poured down near. And near to a building of air terminal a black limousine waited for Tischenko, his relatives and friends. « We shall sweep once in honour of such victory », - father of the champion winked with a smile.
